PALM SPRINGS, Calif. --
A magnitude-3.1 earthquake struck just before 11 p.m. Thursday south of the Salton Sea, according to The U.S. Geological Survey. The epicenter was about six miles north-northwest from Anza. That's also about 18 miles southwest of Palm Springs.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
A viewer from Fullerton said he felt the trembler, and there have been a swarm of small quakes in the area in the last day or two.
