The blaze was reported just after 4:20 p.m. at the facility at 800 North Rice Ave. It was put out about 5:45 p.m.
No one was hurt and evacuations were not necessary, officials said.
The fire started in a fan duct in the rear of the paper-producing building.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
