Sugarland to hold memorial for Ind. stage collapse victims

INDIANAPOLIS

The country duo posted a letter on its website sugarlandmusic.com Tuesday saying a private memorial will be held after families hold their own services and memorials for the victims from Saturday's collapse, which included a stagehand and a security officer.

Sugarland says in the letter it will resume its touring schedule Thursday in Albuquerque, N.M.

Questions about the safety of the stage remain unanswered. Indiana State Fair officials have not yet said whether it was inspected before Saturday's show.

The fair has cancelled two of its big-name concerts: Janet Jackson and Lady Antebellum.

Train and Maroon 5 will perform at a different location Thursday. Both groups plan to donate their performance fees to a fund for the victims. The fair will also donate the money it makes.
