The incident happened in the 300 block of West Lincoln Avenue Monday night.
Police said two men entered the store, and one - armed with a handgun - jumped the counter and hit the clerk.
The two got away with an undetermined amount of cash.
The clerk was hospitalized with minor injuries. Another person in the store was struck but refused treatment.
