The crash happened at about 7 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of Village and Mojave drives.
Investigators said the boy and his older sibling were trying to cross the street when the boy was hit. Deputies said the boy had hesitated so he could pick up his skateboard.
He was taken to Loma Linda Hospital.
The accident was under investigation.
