New video was released of the exact moment of the quake that struck on Wednesday. People were seen running in panic in front of a big cloud of smoke, signaling the collapse of a hotel in Van, Turkey.
Many of those who died this week were in buildings weakened from a 7.2 magnitude quake about two weeks ago. That quake killed more than 600 people.
Journalists and relief workers - who had rushed to the region in the aftermath of the more powerful quake - themselves became victims Wednesday. The fatalities include a Japanese relief worker who had come to distribute aid to quake survivors.
