12 baby pandas adjust to new home in China

January 5, 2012 12:00:00 AM PST
Twelve baby giant pandas are adjusting in their new home in China's southwest Sichuan province.

The pandas, who recently left their mother at the Cheng Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, are sharing a new enclosure, and the display of cuteness is drawing huge crowds.

Visitors got to see the pandas' playful side - some of them attempted to climb rocks, while others munched away at their staple food: bamboo.

A total of 21 giant pandas were successfully bred in China in 2011, bringing the number of captive giant pandas bred in the country to 333.
