Soccer club coach accused molesting teen player

Local soccer coach Javier Arrioja, 48, was arrested after being accused of molesting one of his teenage players.

A local soccer club coach who lives in East Los Angeles is accused of molesting one of his teenage players.

Javier Arrioja, 48, is a coach for the "Missioneros," a private soccer club for boys under age 17. He is charged with four counts of lewd acts upon a child and one count of sending harmful matter.

A 15-year-old player told authorities that Arrioja touched him inappropriately several times. The alleged incidents happened at Arrioja's home and local parks between May and November 2011.

Arrioja, who is being held on $100,000 bail, could face more than five years in state prison if convicted.

Investigators are trying to determine if there are other possible victims.
