Riverside lottery scam suspects caught on surveillance video

RIVERSIDE, Calif.

The video shows the suspects at a Goodwill store in Riverside. The victim, seen in pink, is identified by a man wearing a light colored shirt. He signals an older female suspect, wearing black, who then approaches the victim.

Authorities say the suspects convince the victims that they have a winning lottery ticket and will share a portion if they provide cash up front.

The two suspects are wanted in connection with four separate thefts. They are also suspected in a different kind of scam involving a fake law office.

In an incident that occurred on March 13, a victim said the female suspect asked her for a ride to a law office. The suspect also asked a bystander, now known as the second suspect, to come with her to the law office.

Once in the victim's car, the two forced her to drive to a bank and withdraw $500 from the ATM.

Police said the suspects have been spotted driving a gray SUV, possibly a Toyota 4-Runner. Anyone with information is asked to contact the /*Riverside Police Department*/ at (951) 353-7103.
