Westfeldt wrote, produced, directed and stars in the movie. Westfeldt's longtime love, Jon Hamm of "Mad Men," is also in the ensemble cast.
"You know, I wanted to create eight characters in this story that have sort of very different takes and experiences with the transition with to being parents, and in the case of Megan Fox's character, not ever being a parent," she said.
So far, it's turning out to be a hit with audiences.
"We raised the money and told a story that kind of relates to people in our world and people are responding to it," Hamm said of the film.
Westfeldt has been behind three indie films now, and she knows you do what you have to do to get the job done.
"There were days I brought props. We brought a lot of our own clothes anything to take the budget down...craft service, whatever," she said.
