The closure, which was announced Saturday, extends from the boat launch at Warner Avenue and the Pacific Coast Highway to the boat docks at Bluewater Lane.
The Orange County Health Department says the closure will remain in effect until bacteria levels drop to a safe level.
Health officials have also posted high bacteria level warnings at the east end of Baby Beach in Dana Point Harbor and Poche Beach in San Clemente.
