7UP Antioxidant drink to be discontinued next year

LOS ANGELES

The announcement comes after a consumer group lawsuit alleged the drink's health claims are misleading and illegal.

But the Texas-based company that makes 7UP says its decision to pull the product had nothing to do with the lawsuit.

The drink, which also has a diet version, comes in cherry and mixed berry flavors and is expected to be pulled from shelves next year.
