Workers found it before people began boarding.
The flight was grounded so the plane could be be fumigated before it returned to service.
Passengers took it all in stride.
"There's a lot of questions going on: How the hell a snake got onto a plane. Security. They scan you for everything, but not snakes, obviously," said passenger Brian McNabb.
It's not the first time a snake has been found on a Qantas flight. Earlier this year a python was seen clinging to the wings of a plane. That snake didn't fare well.
