Nissan recalls nearly 909,000 cars for sensor defect

TOKYO

Nissan says the recall affects the Serena minivan, Infiniti M luxury model, X-trail sport utility vehicle and other models. Nissan says the defective accelerator sensor could cause the engine to stall.

Most of the vehicles are in Japan but some are in North America. No accidents have been reported related to the problem.
