Someone driving along Hollywood Boulevard near Western Avenue noticed six large crates of mail in the street and notified authorities. More mail was located nearby.
Police officers arrived, gathered the mail and notified the postal service.
Authorities believe the postal service truck door opened and the crates of mail fell onto the street.
