Family travels through 13 countries to visit Pope Francis in America

PHILADELPHIA (KABC) -- A family from Argentina traveled 13,000 miles from their home country to see Pope Francis on his first trip to America.

A couple and their four children, ages 3 to 12 years old, drove through 13 countries in a Volkswagen Bus from Buenos Aires to Philadelphia.

The trip took 194 days, but the journey was no smooth ride. Their bus broke down several times, the last incident happening just 30 miles from their destination.

The family was able to arrive with help from good Samaritans along the way.

Noel Zemborain said she was excited about their arrival, "So grateful for being here and so happy for being able to make it so far."
