LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Thousands of bicyclists, skateboarders, roller skaters and pedestrians will be taking over streets to join together and celebrate CicLAvia's fifth-year anniversary route in Downtown Los Angeles Sunday.
The "Heart of LA" street festival will ban cars for a 6-mile stretch from the Westlake District to Boyle Heights for non-motorists to explore activities and vendors in special hubs located in Macarthur Park, Chinatown, Grand Park and more.
The CicLAvia event was expected to begin at 9 a.m. and end around 4 p.m. Roads were scheduled to reopen at about 5:30 p.m.
