His advice is both practical and charming.
Sometimes when kids are diagnosed with horrible illnesses, their favorite athletes get wind of it and try to cheer them up by inviting them for a meet-and-greet.
This kid, though, turned that around.
When the Texans' David Quessenberry was diagnosed with cancer, he announced the news with an amazing attitude, telling the San Jose Mercury News, "I'm going to do whatever it takes to beat this thing."
That doesn't mean more encouragement wasn't welcome, though, and it came from one of the unlikeliest of places: 7-year-old Jake Daniel.
As fate would have it, Jake was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's lymphoma -- the same type of cancer Quessenberry has -- in December, and he just finished his chemotherapy in May. A Texans fan, Jake wanted his favorite offensive tackle to know that he's not alone.
He made a video to give Quessenberry some real talk.
Quessenberry, of course, loved it. In fact, he loved it so much that he wants to hang out with his new little buddy.
I'd love to hear how that meeting goes. Jake, I'm sure, will be just as charming in person.
