SAN FRANCISCO -- Humpback whales were spotted swimming in San Francisco Bay on Thursday.
Our sister station KGO had its Sky7 HD over the huge marine mammals as they swam just inside the Golden Gate Bridge.
As many as four whales were spotted, but there may be more. At one point a kite surfer was spotted gliding by within feet of two of the whales.
Marine biologists believe the humpbacks are attracted by the large numbers of anchovies swimming along the bay's shoreline.
