LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Chrysler is making history by introducing the first-ever plug-in hybrid minivan.
The 2017 Pacifica Hybrid has a gasoline engine like the regular Pacifica, but can travel about 30 miles on battery power alone. For many families, that means a day's worth of driving - carpools, shopping, etc. - can be done without using a drop of gasoline. For longer trips, it drives just like a regular vehicle.
Pricing will be announced next week, but Chrysler says the final cost to buyers will be "surprisingly low."
