In the new movie, "The Wedding Ringer," Kevin Hart plays a man who has started a very unique business: finding fake best men for those guys who have no friends.
Josh Gad co-stars as a sweet, but shy groom-to-be who falls into that category. While the movie premise involves a fake relationship, in real life, these two became fast friends.
"You can not have a hit comedy without a great cast, without a great group of people to help you make a hit," Hart said. "In this case, I got lucky, man, and stumbled upon a gem in Josh Gad. Because of that gem, we were able to make this great comedy."
Gad responded, "My philosophy is you always want to be challenged, you always want to put yourself in the position to work with people who are better than you so you can learn and who do things that you don't."
In this film, one of those "learning experiences" included dancing. Gad discovered he had an affinity for the dance move known as "The Dougie."
"I didn't even know what the hell 'The Dougie' was prior to that, I'll be honest," Gad admitted.
"You know now," Hart said.
"I do," Gad said. "Now, I live with it."
Hart does not dance around how he feels about the recent cyberattack at Sony. His name was unfavorably mentioned in an email. He said he has no hard feelings and it's just part of doing business.
"Our world continues you know. I'm going to continue to be a comedian," Hart said. "I'm going to continue to be happy. This thing put a bump in their road, but it's fine. It's not that serious to me. That's their deal. That's their issue."
"The Wedding Ringer" is rated "R" and is in theaters now.
