LAKE FOREST, Calif. (KABC) -- Fire crews rescued Monday a man trapped in a chimney at a Lake Forest home.

Firefighters began the rescue operation shortly before 3 a.m. near the intersection of Belgreen Place and Gemwood Drive, using ropes and other equipment to pull the man to safety. They also had to demolish part of the chimney.

About two hours later, the man was hoisted out of the chimney and taken to the hospital. Authorities said he will not be cited or arrested.
