2 men arrested in Simi Valley car thefts

SIMI VALLEY, Calif. (KABC) -- Two men were arrested on suspicion of stealing car parts at various Park 'n Ride lots in Simi Valley and other California cities, Simi Valley police said.



Jose Gonzalez, 20, of San Fernando and Javier Montiel, 20, of Pacoima, were arrested Tuesday by Simi Valley police. They were booked on one count of grand theft and one count of vehicle burglary.



Police allege Gonzalez and Montiel stole catalytic converters and other property from cars parked in Simi Valley, Moorpark, Camarillo, Porter Ranch, Morgan Hill and Gilroy. They believe other suspects involved in the crimes are still at large.
