STUDIO CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Los Angeles police were investigating the death of a man whose body was found with near a wash in Studio City.

Authorities say the body found is a 36-year-old black man who seemed to have suffered severe head trauma. Authorities are not sure if the man was pushed or fell.

Authorities were called at about 8:50 a.m. to Moorpark Street and Laurel Canyon Boulevard.

No other details were immediately available.

CORRECTION: Earlier reports stated a Hispanic man's body was found with a gunshot wound. Eyewitness News has since learned it was a 36-year-old black man's body that was found. The victim appears to have suffered severe head trauma.
