PASADENA, Calif. (KABC) -- The 126th Rose Parade kicked off a chilly New Year's Day.
Temperatures hovered above freezing at an unofficial 37 degrees at dawn and were just shy of setting a record for the coldest parade. In 1952, the temperature was 32 degrees.
But despite the freezing temperatures, thousands gathered to enjoy 39 floral floats, 19 marching bands and 18 high-stepping equestrian units.
