Perimeter set up at Santa Ana home after car chase

SANT ANA, Calif. (KABC) -- A perimeter has been set up around a home in Santa Ana after a suspect led authorities on a chase following reports of a shooting.

Santa Ana police officers received a call of a possible shooting off Tustin Avenue between suspects in a Cadillac and Mazda.

Authorities located the suspect in the Mazda and a chase ensued. The suspect led police on a chase through Orange and Anaheim before heading to a home at the corner of Bristol Street and Park Lane in Santa Ana.

During the chase, the suspect threw what appeared to be narcotics out of the window.

Police are still searching for the driver in the Cadillac.
