TUSTIN, Calif. (KABC) -- Residents escaped injury and three luxury cars were undamaged in a dramatic house fire that resulted in a Tustin house being red-tagged, officials said.
The blaze was reported shortly after 1 a.m. on Cowan Heights Drive, as flames made their way through the structure's walls and into the attic, according to the Orange County Fire Authority.
Firefighters had to open up some of the walls to expose oxygen and extinguish the fire, which was accomplished in 75 minutes, said Larry Kurtz, an OCFA spokesman. None of the 36 emergency responders were injured.
A Ferrari, Tesla and BMW on the property did not sustain damage.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
