NEW YORK CITY (KABC) -- The woman at the center of the Donald Sterling scandal was allegedly beaten up by two men in New York City Sunday night.

V Stiviano's lawyer, Mac Nehoray, says his client was "banged up but OK."

She was checked out by a doctor for possible injuries, but is expected to make a full recovery.

The alleged incident occurred outside a local restaurant near the Gansevoort Hotel in Manhattan. It allegedly involved two white men who made racial slurs at Stiviano and punched her in the face several times. She was able to run away.

New York police are allegedly looking into the incident, but say, Stiviano, 32, has not yet filed a police report.
