The 53rd annual L.A. Pride Parade rolled through the historic heart of Hollywood Sunday.

The parade route began at Sunset Blvd. and Highland Ave. heading north, then east onto Hollywood Blvd., then south onto Cahuenga Blvd., ending at Sunset Blvd. and Cahuenga Blvd.

ABC7's LA Pride Parade Street Reporters Eric Resendiz, Ashley Mackey and Karl Schmid discuss what they are most excited about on parade day.

The route was approximately one mile long, with about 150 contingents consisting of revelers from SoCal's top LGBTQ+ nonprofits, employee resource groups, city agencies, local, regional, and national businesses, clubs, bands, floats, and more than a few surprises.

ABC7's David Gonzalez interviews Eyewitness News anchors Marc Brown, David Ono and LA Pride Board President Gerald Garth about the importance of the LA Pride Parade.

Queer comedian Margaret Cho was honored as the Icon Grand Marshal, the ACLU SoCal was this year's Community Grand Marshal, and a new category, Legacy Grand Marshal, honored and celebrated the life of Leslie Jordan.

The LA Pride Parade contingent from Disney PRIDE and ABC7's Tim Pulliam talk about what Pride Month means to them.

It was estimated that over 150,000 spectators attended the parade.
