On July 1, Tyler Armstrong became the second youngest climber to scale Africa's tallest mountain. Last year, Armstrong climbed Mt. Whitney at age 7. He is doing it all for medical research. Armstrong's cause is a rare form of muscular dystrophy.
"I wanted to start hiking, so I looked at my dad's Whitney video when he's climbing Mt. Whitney. I told my dad I wanted to climb Mt. Whitney, and then we did all this training for Mt. Whitney and that's how it all started," said Armstrong.
His next goals are to conquer the highest peaks in Argentina and Russia.
