Vandalism suspect arrested on 710 Freeway in East LA

EAST LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A vandalism suspect was arrested at a construction zone on the 710 Freeway in East Los Angeles on Thursday.

The search for the suspect, whose name has not been released, shut down the 710 Freeway briefly in both directions at Cesar Chavez Avenue.

Solis Learning Academy, Torres High School and Brooklyn Avenue Elementary School were placed on lockdown as a precaution because deputies believed the suspect had a gun.
