ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- A stolen vehicle suspect was taken into custody after leading police in a chase that ended with the car slamming into a house in Anaheim.

The pursuit began around 6:30 a.m. Monday after officers received a report about a stolen car. The vehicle had OnStar GPS, which allowed officers to track it.

Police said when officers pulled up behind the vehicle, a Jeep Wrangler, the car quickly sped off. The chase was called off shortly after it began due to dense fog.

About two minutes later, police received a 911 call from the intersection of Broadway and Agate Street about a car that plowed into the side of a house. The caller also stated that a man was jumping over fences and running on rooftops in the area.

Police said they set up a perimeter and found the suspect about 100 yards from the house. Officers used a Taser on the suspect and took him into custody.

Tania Abundez-Herrera, who was inside the home, said the crash felt like an earthquake.

"It hit and you heard a big old thump and it shook the house, so that's why we just ran out to see what was going on," she said.

The suspect was transported to an area hospital as a precaution. No injuries were reported.
