Burned areas undergo 'hydro-mulching'

CORONA Corona Municipal Airport has been turned into base of operations for a major reseeding effort.

A fleet of half-a-dozen planes is spreading what they call "hydro-mulch."

Their main focus is Santiago Canyon.

The idea is to stabilize the fire-blackened hills, prevent flooding, erosion, and protect residential homes down-slope.
