Police search for Devonshire sexual predator

Police are hunting for a sexual predator who attempted to kidnap and sexually assault a woman Saturday in Devonshire.

Los Angeles police are trying to track down a sexual predator in the Devonshire area.Investigators say he tried to kidnap and sexually assault a 36-year-old Hispanic woman who was walking down the street.

The attack happened Saturday, Jan. 30, at approximately 8:00 a.m.

The victim was walking northbound on Chase Street near Darby Avenue when she noticed a light blue pickup truck driven by the suspect.

Police say the suspect approached and grabbed the woman by the arm and tried to force her into his truck. Police say the suspect also unzipped his pants.

The victim was able to break free and run away.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 30 to 35 years of age with black hair and brown eyes, about 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing about 180 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, blue jeans and a gray baseball cap.

He was driving a 1980s Toyota single cab pickup light blue in color, equipped with a gardening equipment rack.
