Group marches in support of Arizona law

May 2, 2010 12:00:00 AM PDT
As thousands of people marched in downtown Los Angeles on May Day, a smaller group turned out in Orange County in support of Arizona's new immigration law. The group 'We the People' organized a march along Imperial Highway in Brea.

The demonstrators said the Arizona's law simply inforces existing federal rules, and doesn't single out any particular racial group.

"There is no such thing as this law being created to circumvent democracy or impose on the civil rights of any American or anybody on American soil," said Raymond Herrera, president of We the People.

Herrera adds that it's time to vote on elected officials who are willing to do something about illegal immigrants.
