The family of Mitrice Richardson is asking for volunteers to help search for the missing college student. The search will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 5-6. Richardson has not been seen since September when she was released from the Lost Hills Sheriff's Station after being booked for failing to pay her bill at a Malibu restaurant.

Mitrice is a Cal State Fullerton graduate with a 4.0 GPA and was set to begin a doctoral program.

The Richardson family plans to search the rugged hills of Malibu toward Calabasas.

The family is asking for volunteer hikers, mountain bikers, equestrians, and others to help scour the rugged terrain in areas surrounding the sheriff's station.

They also need donations of food, bottled water, and other supplies to support the search effort.

Volunteers can sign up by telephone at (323) 777-0453, or send an email to mitricefund@gmail.com.
