Ransom's friends served as pallbearers.
Ransom, 19, was body-boarding near Vandenberg Air Force Base on Friday when a shark, possibly a great white, bit and severed his leg.
A friend helped him to shore but Ransom died of blood loss.
A memorial for the deceased University of California, Santa Barbara, student is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday at Evans-Brown Mortuary at 27010 Encanto Dr. in Sun City.
A memorial swim is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Oceanside State Park on the south side of the Oceanside Pier Thursday.
