2 caught for graffiti vandalism in Ventura

VENTURA, Calif. /*Ventura police*/ received reports of two male suspects spray-painting a sidewalk along the 1600 block of Squirrel Lane on Friday. When police arrived, they saw that street signs and building walls were also tagged with graffiti.

Officers fanned out to find the suspects, and found 18-year-old Ryan Summit and a 14-year-old juvenile in a nearby condominium complex. The two tried to run for it but were caught by officers following a short foot chase.

Summit was booked into the Ventura County Jail and the juvenile was placed at Ventura County Juvenile Hall.

Both were charged with felony vandalism, conspiracy and resisting arrest.
