According to Ventura County Sheriff's Department officials, Amber Workman had access to an Ojai Eagle Youth Football Organization bank checking account as a signer between January 2007 and December 2009.
When the youth football organization was notified by the state of California that their non-profit status was being suspended for failure to file tax returns from 2007 to 2009, they reviewed their bank statements and discovered that Workman had obtained a debit card for the organization's bank account and began using the account for personal use, investigators said.
Workman, 42, was arrested for grand theft embezzlement and booked into the Ventura County Jail.
