Authorities say a SWAT team responded to the 100 block of Orchid Drive for a barricaded suspect at 3:14 p.m. The auto task force had been investigating him, but no further details were released.
The suspect was barricaded in an RV with a shotgun, police said. He also had a bail warrant out of his arrest on an earlier drug charge.
It was unclear what prompted officers to open fire just after 5:30 p.m. The name of the suspect has not yet been released.
