It was one of two cars involved in a crash in the 8100 block of Glenoaks Boulevard. The car ended up on its roof in the Burbank Western Channel near the Lanark Bridge.
Firefighters say a 40-year-old woman was taken to a hospital with minor injuries and a 50-year-old man was hospitalized in moderate condition.
