BARSTOW, Calif. (KABC) -- A 4.0-magnitude earthquake shook the Barstow area overnight.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quake hit about 9 miles northeast of Barstow at 2:38 a.m. Wednesday.
Eyewitness News viewers reported feeling the earthquake in Hesperia and Apple Valley. Some said it woke them up or startled their animals.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
