BURBANK, Calif. (KABC) -- Burbank police arrested an armed suspect on multiple charges following a 90-minute standoff Saturday morning.
Officers responded to a home in the 1700 block of N. Rose Street at 7:30 a.m. after a woman called police whispering about an abduction. Upon their arrival, several people were seen running from the home.
Family members said Irving Espinosa-Delgado, 27, of Arizona was armed and holding other family relatives against their will. A member of the Burbank Police Department's Crisis Negotiation Team made contact with the suspect via phone.
He then released two hostages and surrendered to authorities without incident.
Espinosa-Delgado was booked for residential burglary, kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon.
No injuries were reported. Burbank police were awaiting a search warrant to enter the house and continue their investigation.
