LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- It's the show we look forward to all year -- the Eye on L.A. Summer Guide! From road trips and glamping to lunching and jamming, here are some great ideas for fun summer outings.
EL CAPITAN CANYON
This is how we camp! We mean, glamp! El Capitan Canyon provides nature lodging on the California Coast; it's a campground resort that provides a measure of comfort and pampering while focusing on protecting and sharing the beauty of the California Coast. Take home a sense of serenity in their Santa Barbara accommodations or Southern California Nature Lodging.
KNOTT'S BERRY FARM
One of SoCal's most popular summer destinations is adding some exciting new fun this year. You've gotta check out their new 4-D interactive ride "The Voyage to the Iron Reef," and see why so many are headed back again and again! And don't forget to check out their totally cool show "Vertical Impact" for some high octane fun with BMX bikes, acrobats, aerial wall work and more. Oh, and Snoopy's got his own new show too. Take the kids to "Blockbuster Beagle" for a fun cool down on a hot summer day.

SQUARE ONE AT THE BOATHOUSE
Eye on L.A. has uncovered another hidden gem right in the middle of the city! Square One at the Boathouse is located lakeside on the shores of Echo Park. It's a counter service cafe where you can enjoy some of the best organic park food while overlooking the lake, waiting for your paddle boat ride or people watching.

BACK ON THE BEACH
Located on Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica, Back On The Beach is right behind the Annenberg Community Beach House. They offer local and seasonal cuisine with breathtaking views of the ocean, pier and Catalina Island. You can even enjoy a beer or a glass of wine with your toes in the sand.
CAMP NO COUNSELORS
Camp No Counselors is an all-inclusive sleep away camp for grown-ups, where adults go away to camp with their best friends for weekend getaways. It's everything you enjoyed as a kid at summer camp, but for grown-ups! From slip 'n' slide and archery to rock climbing and arts and crafts, your days are packed, and there are theme parties at night. Oh, and no technology! There's no cell service so you really get the opportunity to disconnect and just live. You're welcome!
LEGOLAND
Some of the best memories are made as kids, and one of the best places in SoCal to make those memories is Legoland California Resort. This year, they're unveiling an even bigger water park with a wave pool, and you cannot miss the Lego Star Wars Death Star, and Star Wars Miniland. Why not make a weekend out of it at the Legoland Hotel!

CALIFORNIA SCIENCE CENTER
There's no time like the summer to check out the California Science Center and this year, they've got a must-see exhibit featuring the fascinating Dead Sea Scrolls! It's like traveling 2,000 years into the past to explore early Middle Eastern culture and never-before seen Biblical manuscripts. It's being called the most significant archaeological find of the last century. Now through September 7, 2015.

JAM IN THE VAN
Leave it to some friends in Venice to create one of the grooviest musical experiences around this summer that all started with "Hey man, let's jam in the van!" The first mobile solar-powered recording studio goes all over the country and bands record their sessions inside and then Jam In The Van puts them on YouTube.
OZOMATLI
Our friends, L.A.'s own "house band," have a message for you: Read to the Rhythm! Ozomatli has teamed up with the Los Angeles Public Library to promote the Library's Summer Fun clubs for children and teens. Check out Ozo's new music video and learn more about this year's activities here:
