LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- The Los Angeles International Airport is considered one of the busiest airports during the holiday season and Sunday was no different.
Traffic, long lines and downed computers could be seen in the morning as travelers headed back or returned from their Thanksgiving feasts.
By 11 p.m., traffic was still heavy at the airport. According to Los Angeles Airport police on Twitter, the heaviest traffic was on the arrivals level, while there was moderate traffic in departures. There were no snags in traffic on surrounding roadways.
Travelers were advised to arrive early in case of a back-up. Self check-in computers at American Airlines were down in the morning.
Ahmed Malmonsouri, who was heading back to Iowa Sunday morning, said it was even worse during the summer.
"I've been here in the summer and we actually missed our flights because of how crowded it was," Malmonsouri said. "It's always crowded in the city."
