Jackson Park to open after $150K upgrade in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Calif. -- Long Beach's Jackson Park is ready for its close up. City officials are inviting neighbors to a grand opening ceremony on Friday.

The festivities start at 10:00 a.m.

The $150,000 upgrade of the playground was paid for with Measure A funds. Jackson Park is the first of five playgrounds receiving Measure A money.

The $150 million measure was passed by voters last June.
