The heaviest rain slammed into the region Thursday night into early Friday morning, triggering flash floods and mudslides across Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura counties, as well as the Inland Empire.
Friday will have scattered showers as the rain moves out of the area, leaving residents to clean up after the storm.
MAP: LA burn scar areas under evacuation warnings due to storm
Evacuation warnings have been issued for burn scar areas in the Los Angeles area ahead of what's likely to be the biggest storm of the season.
The Los Angeles Fire Department announced that evacuation warnings will take effect at 7 a.m. Thursday through at least 2 p.m. Friday. LAFD has provided a map of the areas affected.

Evacuation warnings issued for parts of Palisades, Sunset and Hurst fire zones
The Los Angeles Fire Department announced Wednesday that evacuation warnings will take effect at 7 a.m. Thursday for areas near recent burn areas. The warnings will impact:
-- in the Palisades Fire area: Getty Villa area, Highlands near the burned areas, Bienveneda area near Temescal Canyon Park, Reseda Blvd area/Marinette Road near Will Rogers State Park, Mandeville Canyon above Tanners Road. -- in the Sunset Fire area in the Hollywood Hills: east and south of Runyon Canyon; -- in the Hurst Fire area near Sylmar: Olive Lane in the Oakridge Mobile Home Park
Several burn scar areas across Southern California are facing the threat of mudslides and toxic debris flow as a strong storm moves into the region. Evacuation warnings are going into effect Thursday morning for those areas.

Rain prompts evac warnings for San Bernardino County burn areas
It's not only the most recent wildfire areas on high alert. Evacuation warnings were issued for some parts of San Bernardino County as residents living in the Bridge and Line fires burn areas brace for heavy rain.
The communities of Mt. Baldy, Wrightwood and Highland along the Line Fire burn scar are all under an evacuation warning that took effect Wednesday afternoon due to the potential for mud and debris flow from the approaching storm, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
