The strongest storm of the season is moving out of Southern California on Friday.

The heaviest rain slammed into the region Thursday night into early Friday morning, triggering flash floods and mudslides across Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura counties, as well as the Inland Empire.

Friday will have scattered showers as the rain moves out of the area, leaving residents to clean up after the storm.

MAP: LA burn scar areas under evacuation warnings due to storm

Evacuation warnings have been issued for burn scar areas in the Los Angeles area ahead of what's likely to be the biggest storm of the season.

The Los Angeles Fire Department announced that evacuation warnings will take effect at 7 a.m. Thursday through at least 2 p.m. Friday. LAFD has provided a map of the areas affected.

Mandatory evacuation order issued for Line Fire area in Highland

A mandatory evacuation order has been issued for the Line Fire burn area in Highland.

The evacuation order applies to the area south of Greenspot Road between Church and Merris streets due to potential mud and debris flow from storm, according to San Bernardino fire officials.

A Red Cross evacuation center was established at Citrus Valley High School at 800 W. Pioneer Ave in Redlands.

Flash flood warning issued for Eaton Fire burn area, other parts of LA and Ventura counties

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood warning for the Eaton Fire burn area and other parts of Los Angeles and Ventura counties. The warning will be in effect through 8 p.m.

The area under a flash flood warning covers Altadena, a large part of the San Fernando Valley, Santa Monica, Santa Clarita and Castaic. Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks are also included in the flash flood warning.

Flash flood warning issued for Palisades Fire burn area

A flash flood warning was issued for the Palisades Fire burn area as heavy rain increases the risk for life-threatening debris flow, the NWS said.

The warning is set to be in place until 8 p.m. Thursday.

The National Weather Service said the following areas may experience flash flooding: Malibu, Topanga State Park, Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Topanga Canyon Road through the Santa Monica Mountains and Mandeville Canyon.

A flash flood warning was also issued for the Franklin Fire burn scar area in Malibu, specifically for Malibu Canyon / Los Virgenes Roads through the Santa Monica Mountains.
