The strongest storm of the season is moving out of Southern California on Friday.

The heaviest rain slammed into the region Thursday night into early Friday morning, triggering flash floods and mudslides across Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura counties, as well as the Inland Empire.

Friday will have scattered showers as the rain moves out of the area, leaving residents to clean up after the storm.

MAP: LA burn scar areas under evacuation warnings due to storm

Evacuation warnings have been issued for burn scar areas in the Los Angeles area ahead of what's likely to be the biggest storm of the season.

The Los Angeles Fire Department announced that evacuation warnings will take effect at 7 a.m. Thursday through at least 2 p.m. Friday. LAFD has provided a map of the areas affected.

An interactive map from Cal Fire gives a look at current weather and fire conditions across the state.

The map also outlines evacuation warnings and orders near wildfire burn scars.

In the map, people can tap/click on the purple pins to see live video feeds from the area.

Evacuation order issued for parts of Sierra Madre

An evacuation order went into effect Thursday morning for portions of Sierra Madre impacted by the Eaton Fire.

The area had previously been under an evacuation warning, but it was later upgraded due to possible widespread debris and mudflows, according to the Sierra Madre Police Department.

Check here to see if you're in the evacuation order zone.

If your home is under an evacuation order and you choose to stay home, you will need to shelter in place until it is deemed safe for city personnel to enter.

Meanwhile, the city is restrict parking through 9 a.m. Sunday in designated evacuation zones. Some streets may be completely blocked by debris.

Malibu schools to be closed Thursday

Several schools in Malibu will be closed on Thursday, and possibly Friday, as a storm prompts road closures in the area.

That includes Webster Elementary, Malibu Elementary, Malibu Middle and Malibu high schools.

Malibu Canyon Road will be closed through 6 p.m. Friday. That, along with the ongoing closures of Pacific Coast Highway and Topanga Canyon, have made it unsafe for staff to get on campus and for school buses to transport students, officials said.

Evacuation warning for areas impacted by Eaton Fire

An evacuation warning will take effect at 7 a.m. Thursday for portions of Sierra Madre impacted by the Eaton Fire.

Officials are warning residents they may be at risk for damage from mudslides or flooding, and some streets may be completely blocked by debris.

If residents decide to stay home, they'll need to shelter in place until areas are deemed safe for city personnel to enter.
