Maui wildfires: A personal account of witnessing devastation in Lahaina

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- ABC7's David Ono has covered a number of disasters in his career, but covering the wildfires in Maui was different. Maui is dear to him.

David was on vacation with his family in Maui when disaster struck.

Being there at that moment gave him a deeper understanding of how quickly life can change.
